Dr. Terriel Byrd has more than 30 years’ experience as a lead pastor, and is founding pastor of Living Word Christian Community, Inc. (LWCC). He began his pastoral call at First Baptist Church in Oxford, OH. He is also the former pastor of Inspirational Baptist Church in Cincinnati, OH, where he served for 12 years. Dr. Byrd also serves as Coordinator of Evening Ministry Programs at Palm Beach Atlantic University.
Also an author, Dr. Byrd has written and published three books; his first full length book, I Shall Not Be Moved was an international bestseller, By This Shall We Be Known: Interpreting the Voice and Message of Dr. King, Jr., and Let the Church Be the Church: Social Teachings of the Christian Church.
Dr. Byrd strongly believes that God, the great giver of gifts has given each of us a unique gift to be used for the building of His kingdom here on earth. As the apostle Paul admonished Timothy “Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.” (2 Timothy 1:6). As pastor, he encourages each member of the LWCC family to fully develop and exercise their gift. When Christ is glorified through our gifts, His Church is also edified!
